Master card maker, Mary Beth Parfitt, nick-named ‘Mayo’ at an early age by her siblings, has been making cards and other gift items for over 10 years. Her love and fascination of nature, butterflies, natural fine papers, silk fabrics and thread inspires  her greeting card collections as well as gift tags, ribbons and other gift items.

After her retirement from her careers as a flight attendant, real estate office manager and business broker, Mary Beth began her next endeavor of card making after reading an article in a craft magazine.

She creates her cards with crisp white paper and carefully adds natural objects at her whimsy that include hand-cut paper butterflies, silk fabric, hand-pulled threads from fine fabrics, handmade paper from all over the world, dried pressed leaves and flowers, seedpods, and feathers.

Some of the flowers she grows on her own patio, such as pansies, petunias and impatiens; the leaves she often collects on nature hikes near her home in Los Gatos, California.  Her quest for beauty and eye for detail is evident from the craftsmanship of her creations.

Mary Beth carries a line of blank cards, thank you cards, sympathy cards and a distinctive line of wedding cards. All cards are a unique, one of a kind work of art.
